Short answer on the code logic: Partially - entry/exit logic is aligned in the main signal path, but there are risk and execution quirks that keep it from being fully clean and fully reliable.
The two .set files are clearly tuned in different directions - the first one is the more aggressive growth profile, while the second one is the more conservative and more robust profile. Based on the hardcoded logic, your target of 0.8% to 1.2% daily and ~5% weekly is possible only in strong conditions, but it is not statistically stable if you want low drawdown at the same time.
| Asset | Existing set | More likely to hit target | Main issue |
|---|---|---|---|
| $EURUSDc M15 | More aggressive | First set, with tighter risk controls | First set may overtrade and hit DD limits faster |
| $XAUUSDc M15 | More conservative | Second set, but still too slow for 5% weekly | Second set is safer, but its SL and trail are too wide for consistent daily compounding |
| Parameter | Profit | Drawdown | Win rate | Recovery factor | Risk per trade | Trade frequency |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
InpBaseConfidence | High | Medium | High | High | Low | Low |
InpMaxRiskPerTrade | High | Very high | Low | Very high | Very high | Low |
InpMinSL_Pts / InpMaxSL_Pts | Medium | High | High if too tight | Medium | High | Medium |
InpPartialPct | Medium | Low | Medium | Medium | Low | None |
InpBE_TriggerRR | Medium | Low | Medium | Medium | Low | None |
InpTrailStartPts / InpTrailDistPts | High | Medium | Medium | High | Low | None |
InpMaxDailyTrades | High | High | Indirect | Medium | Low | Very high |
InpMaxSpreadPts | Medium | Medium | Medium | Medium | Low | High if too tight |
For $EURUSDc M15, the best balance is closer to the first file, but I would shift it slightly safer:
InpBaseConfidence=0.40InpBaseKellyCap=0.35InpMinSL_Pts=100InpMaxSL_Pts=450InpTrailStartPts=100InpTrailDistPts=70InpBE_TriggerRR=0.55InpPartialPct=30InpMaxRiskPerTrade=0.25InpMaxDailyTrades=8InpMaxSpreadPts=35For $XAUUSDc M15, the second file is safer, but too slow. I would make it less restrictive:
InpBaseConfidence=0.40InpBaseKellyCap=0.35InpMinSL_Pts=160InpMaxSL_Pts=1000InpTrailStartPts=180InpTrailDistPts=110InpBE_TriggerRR=0.60InpPartialPct=30InpMaxRiskPerTrade=0.25InpMaxDailyTrades=8InpMaxSpreadPts=700.8% to 1.2% daily is aggressive for a rules-based M15 EA with capped drawdown. With the hardcoded logic here, the closer realistic target is 0.25% to 0.60% daily in normal conditions, and up to ~1% daily only during strong trending weeks.
| Asset | Conservative daily | Weekly | Monthly | Est. max DD | Trades/day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $EURUSDc | 0.25% - 0.50% | 1.5% - 3.5% | 6% - 14% | 8% - 14% | 4 - 8 |
| $XAUUSDc | 0.30% - 0.60% | 2% - 4% | 8% - 18% | 10% - 18% | 3 - 7 |
| Aggressive mode | 0.60% - 1.00% | 4% - 7% | 16% - 30% | 15% - 25% | 6 - 12 |
The first set has better growth potential because it allows more trades and smaller swings, but it is also more likely to get chopped up. The second set is more conservative and more stable, but it is too wide and too slow to consistently hit the requested growth target unless the market trends hard.
The objective is not impossible, but it is too ambitious for a low-risk profile on M15. If you want the closest robust version, use the first file as the base for $EURUSDc and the second file as the base for $XAUUSDc, then lower risk, tighten spread tolerance, and reduce the SL extremes.
